General Information Giving vaccine during covid-19 pandemic

Vaccination is essential to prevent the spread of preventable communicable diseases. At this time, whilst the country is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, when arriving at health facilities that provide vaccination, make sure to observe the following precautions:

In islands where there are no positive or suspected cases of COVID-19:

  • Observe social distancing whilst at the facility.
  • No more than one parent/guardian should accompany a child.
  • If your child has a fever or cold, wait until they are recovered prior to bringing them for vaccination.

In islands where there are confirmed/suspected COVID-19 cases

  • Observe social distancing whilst at the facility.
  • No more than one parent should accompany a child to the facility.
  • If your child has a fever or cold, wait until they are recovered prior to bringing them for vaccination.
  • If you have any flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat) someone else should accompany your child to facilities providing vaccination.
  • If your residence is under monitoring, take your child to vaccination as soon as the monitoring period expires.

In islands which are under lockdown:

  • Vaccination services in islands under lockdown will remain temporarily halted.
  • It is important to remain at home until informed otherwise by the health authorities.
