“The Maldives celebrates the anniversary of the day we embraced Islam on 2nd of Rabiʽ al-Thani. When the Maldivians converted to Islam in the 12th century, it became a turning point not only in the history of the Maldives, but also in the Maldives-Morocco relationship.
While we celebrate this special occasion today, I would like to share the blessings with Your Excellency, as this day is reflective of the traditional bond and fraternal connections between our forefathers.
It is my sincere hope that the close relations steeped in cultural ties between our two countries will continue to flourish in the years to come.
Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
