Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced crucial precautionary measures to be taken in to consideration before attending the Eid prayer. Since Eid prayer is on Friday it is recommended that people to attend one of these prayers. Also women and children are encouraged to stay home.

As informed while opening the mosques for congregational prayers for new normal, people who are sick, having any symptoms of the virus are not suggested to visit mosque for Eid prayer as well. Moreover, to practice social distancing everyone shall bring a praying mat and wear a mask before coming to the mosque.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic ministry has decided not pray Eid al Alhaa prayer in a vast congregation. Eid prayers are to be held in every mosque where Friday prayers are offered in Male'. Nevertheless arrangements for women to offer Eid prayer is only settled in Male grand Mosque, Masjidul Birr in VilliMale and Masjidul Azeeza Moosa in Hulhumale.
