Rehabilitation programs held Ministry of Islamic Affairs in collaboration with Maldives Correctional services restarted in online mode. Within the framework of rehabilitation, divided in to different categories are aimed to increase the love for the religion of Islam. Moreover, the program aimed provide Islamic Counselling services for the prisoners resumed in 5th July 2020 after pausing it due to COVID-19.

Since 5th July it has successfully conducted 12 programs and more to be carried out as scheduled. The Program is held every week from Sunday to Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am via Zoom. Religious lectures are given by the scholars of Ministry of Islamic Affairs which includes topics like Fiqh, Aqeeda and Islamic manners and etiquettes.

The rehabilitation programs held in Maldives Correctional Services Jails are set mandatory in the Constitution of Maldives which is aimed to bring back the prisoners as reformed people who will be recognized by the society. In addition to this, to make them a crucial part of the society who will work to build up their lives on their own with the education and talents acquired throughout these programs.
