The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Maldives, Yuri Materiy, paid a farewell call on Foreign Secretary, Ahmed Latheef, this afternoon.
The Foreign Secretary congratulated the Ambassador on the completion of his successful tenure and expressed appreciation for his role in strengthening the bilateral ties between Maldives and Russia. Both the Foreign Secretary and the Ambassador also reviewed some of the key bilateral cooperation areas between the two countries and multilateral issues of mutual importance.
Foreign Secretary Ahmed Latheef was accompanied by Joint Secretary Shiuneen Rasheed and Assistant Director Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
