Deputy Minister of Fisheries Marine Resources and Agriculture Ahmed Fathih


Biography

Mr. Ahmed Faathih was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture on March 7th, 2022.

Mr. Ahmed Faathih completed his secondary education at N. Holhudhoo, Meyna School, before moving to Male' for Higher Secondary Education at Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).

Mr. Fathih completed his graduate studies at the University of Technology Sydney, NSW, Australia with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry in 2013.

Prior to his appointment as Deputy Minister, he served over 11 years in various government posts as a Relief Teacher , Laboratory technician, at Meyna School, N. Holhudhoo and at Maldives Immigration as an Immigration officer.

Mr Fathih is also an active member of the National Council of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). Currently, he is the elected President of the Holhudhoo Constituent at the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).


Role

Deputy Minister of Fisheries Marine Resources and Agriculture


Primary responsibilities included overseeing and monitoring the implementation of Fisheries and Agriculture projects in accordance with the work schedule and reporting them to the Minister. In addition, coordinating the necessary measures to implement the projects under the advice and guidance of the Minister.
