Government E-Letter Management system (GEMS) was officially launched on 25th April 2010.
This application is introduced to all government agencies to enable government offices to exchange communications electronically to make government administration more efficient, reduce costs, and improve the delivery of services.
Status (as of September 2012): 121 Agencies in Male’ uses GEMS 20 Atoll Capitals 116 Agencies in 23 Islands uses GEMS 4221 government employees has been trained
